The 8′ Burlington contemporary slate pool table is a stunning solid hardwood pool table. A winning combination of strength, transitional styling and value! Hand carved maple pool table with clean simplicity, straight lines and tapered legs. Features 1″ thick slate ground to 1/1000 inch to ensure a level playing surface that will remain level. The Burlington’s solid maple rails are accented with beautiful inlaid double diamond mother-of-pearl sights to assist with bank shots. Enhanced with high performance natural gum rubber rail cushions. The solid wood components are kiln-dried, stained and sealed to keep moisture out. Also, heavy gauge steel fasteners ensure a high-torque bolted assembly. Complimented with genuine leather pockets. All resulting in a robust construction that will ensure optimal performance for years to come. In addition, included is a premium grade Championship Teflon stain resistant cloth in your choice of colour.

The quality of the billiard cloth (felt) can greatly affect the playability & appearance of your pool table. Our pool tables include premium grade Championship Invitational Teflon brand name cloth in your choice of cloth colour. This is a quality, stain and water resistant, medium speed, 21oz cloth with a 75% wool / 25% nylon blend. This cloth shows fewer ball marks and the wool is less “fluffy” than most competitors’ cloth. You will appreciate the excellent playability and durability of this pool table felt.

1. Construction:
Superiorly designed solid wood pool table using the finest grades of premium, seasoned kiln-dried maple. The pool table frame was engineered with strength and longevity in mind, utilizing a center support beam and two 1 1/2″ thick crossbeams running the width of the table. This grid framework ensures maximum stability and exacting support for the slate. Dynamic Billiard’s pool tables are assembled utilizing a superior nut and bolt construction method.
2. Durable Wood Top Coating:
Each pool table features a special advanced wood top coating that is scratch and chip resistant to ensure a beautiful and long lasting finish. The exquisite style and beauty of this pool table will enhance any room in your home.
3. Rails:
6” wide-profile solid hardwood rails provide an elegant furniture appearance and allow for professional play. The under rail is routed with a grove to fit the rail cloth and staples. Superior rail anchoring system consists of bolts fastening into 3 metal anchor plates embedded inside each solid maple rail. This allows the rails to be mounted to the slate flush, accurately aligned and with at least 70% more torque than the standard T-nuts used by competitors resulting in a guaranteed lively bounce for every shot.
4. Diamond Sights:
Rails feature genuine mother-of-pearl inlaid double diamond sights that are both functional and add to the table’s elegance.
5. Cushion Rubber:
Features optimal rail bounce with Billiard Congress of America (BCA) tournament-approved 100% natural gum rubber molded to a K-66 profile with canvas backing. This backing ensures that the rubber permanently adheres to the wood.
6. Slate:
Matched 3 piece set of 1″ thick grade-A slate, diamond honed and precision leveled to 1/1000″ for a truly level playing surface. Wood framing is adhered to the underside of slate for added strength, tighter cloth installation and a quieter game.
7. Leather Pockets:
Genuine leather shielded pockets are color matched to each table. Pockets contain die cast irons to ensure longevity.
8. Billiard Cloth:
Our pool tables include Championship Invitational Teflon brand name cloth in your choice of cloth colour. Quality 21oz cloth made with 75% wool / 25% nylon blend for excellent playability and durability. This pool table felt is bathed in DuPont Teflon (not sprayed on) to give it the most complete protection in spill/stain prevention which makes it perfect for home and commercial use.

Do slate pool tables play better than non-slate tables?
Yes, slate pool tables provide a smoother, more accurate playing surface compared to non-slate tables. Slate is heavier and doesn’t warp over time, which means consistent ball roll and professional-quality play. Non-slate tables are lighter, but they don’t offer the same durability or precision. They also do not come apart in pieces which makes it difficult to move up and down stairs. If you want a table that lasts for years and feels like what you’d find in a pool hall, slate is the best choice.
Why are solid hardwood maple pool tables better than MDF or particle board tables?
Solid hardwood maple pool tables are stronger, more durable and longer-lasting than MDF or particle board tables. Maple wood resists warping and moisture damage, ensuring your table stays level and stable for years of consistent play. In contrast, tables manufactured with MDF and particle board are more prone to sagging, chipping, and separating over time — especially in humid environments. A solid hardwood maple frame also gives your table a premium, furniture-quality look that adds value and elegance to your game room.
How much space do I need around a pool table for proper play?
The room size required depends on the size of your table and the cue length that you’re using. As a rule of thumb, allow at least 4.5 feet of clearance on every side of the table. How long does delivery and installation take after purchase?
We can usually deliver and install an in stock pool table within 1 to 3 weeks, depending on your location and our installer’s availability. Our team handles everything — from delivery to leveling — so your table is ready for play the same day it arrives.
